Shannon McRae

Shannon McRae is a professor of English at the State University of New York at Fredonia. Her interests include 20th century literature and culture, American popular culture and popular religions, mythology, and folklore. Her work on the House of David is part of an ongoing book project on the intersections between non-mainstream religious experience, popular culture, and tourist attractions in early 20th-century America.

Professor McRae has contributed profiles to WRSP on The Public Universal Friend (Jemima Wilkinson), The Eddy Family, and the Israelite House of David.
