Jeffrey E. Anderson

Jeffrey E. Anderson, Ph.D. and is a Professor of History at ULM and Associate Director of the School of Humanities at the University of Louisiana Monroe. He specializes in southern history, African American history, and the Atlantic world and has authored several articles, reviews, and the books Conjure in African American Society (2005), Hoodoo, Voodoo, and Conjure: A Handbook (2008), and The Voodoo Encyclopedia: Magic, Ritual, and Religion (2015). He is presently working on a history of Mississippi Valley Voodoo.
