Lydia Willsky-Ciollo is an Assistant Professor of Religious Studies at Fairfield University with a focus on American Religion.  She has published articles in The New England Quarterly, Church History and Religious Culture, Spotlight on Teaching, and Nova Religio.  Her book Between Scripture and Progress: American Unitarianism and the Protestant Search for Religious Authority was published by Lexington Books in 2015.  Her current research engages Transcendentalism, “alternative” scriptures, and liberal Christian and Transcendentalist women and social reform.
