Our Lady of Hope Health Center

The facilities at Our Lady of Hope Health Center offer patients with assisted living, Alzheimer’s and Dementia care, and nursing and skilled rehabilitation care. The Catholic Diocese of Richmond

sponsors this nonprofit facility, although it is run nondenominationally. According to the center’s website, the mission of the Our Lady of Hope Health Center is, “To offer quality care and specialized services to older adults with unique needs. Part of the Richmond community since 1995, Our Lady of Hope blends a rewarding lifestyle with a wide range of healthcare services, living options, luxurious amenities, and convenience.” Residents from St. Mary’s Woods are given priority admission status to Our Lady of Hope’s dementia care, additional healthcare and skilled rehabilitation care.

The health center offers both assisted living studies and suites for its residence. All residents are able to view nursing stations where licensed nursing teams are located from their rooms at all times.

An on-site rehabilitation center and restorative nursing care is also available at Our Lady of Hope. For residents, nursing care is offered on site. The Nursing Center offers both private and semi-private rooms, and extensive assistance with activities of daily living is provided. The Christopher Center pavilions at Our Lady of Hope provide specialized dementia care. They provide natural light and are aimed to improve physical and cognitive abilities. Activities offered for Our Lady of Hope residents include, outdoor gardening, walking paths, art classes, games, movies, exercise classes, crafts, and other professionally planned activities. On Sunday’s residents of Our Lady of Hope Health Center are given the opportunity to view a televised Protestant church service. The center is also equipped with their own on-site chapel where prayer and communion are offered several times a month.
