The Love of Jesus Health Clinic

The Love of Jesus Health Clinic is a ministry of the Richmond Outreach Center. Formerly known as Commonwealth Clinic, the clinic was taken over by the Richmond Outreach Center in 2006 and renamed. The Love of Jesus Health Clinic serves the low income, uninsured, and individual or families that are at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level. Patients can seek treatment for both body and mind, and they are offered the chance to know Jesus. Everyone on the staff, from the nurses to the doctors, will offer clients the salvation of Christ. The vision is to touch and improve lives through providing resources for spiritual and physical needs.

The Love of Jesus Health Clinic is staffed by licensed medical doctors who volunteer by offering their knowledge and time to help the less fortunate. The Love of Jesus Health Clinic offers comprehensive medical screening, diagnosis, and treatment for all general health issues. The clinic has access to a laboratory, radiology, and surgery facilities. The Love of Jesus Health Clinic has connections with a large network of specialists and hospitals but currently does not have a pediatric specialist. All of the medicines that the clinic uses are donated from local hospitals and the Virginia Health Foundation. While the services provided are free, patients are asked for a small donation when filling prescriptions. The clinic also offers a variety of therapeutic services and has a licensed psychiatrist on call. In its mentoring and counseling programs, the clinic offers Christian counseling and advice, including taking the time to pray with and for the patients.
