DORI BEELER

Dori Beeler is a medical anthropologist and her PhD thesis titled “An Ethnography of Reiki practice in Britain” is presently being revised for a monograph. Currently, she is an Honorary Research Fellow in the Anthropology Department at the University of Durham and a Post-Doctoral Researcher at the University of Notre Dame. As a post-doc at Notre Dame, she is working on an ethnography of science and investigating virtues in scientific practice. Her research interests include health and wellbeing, Complementary and Alternative Medicine, religion and spirituality, science and technology studies, ethics, ethnography and phenomenology.
