Patrick Beldio earned a Ph.D. in religion and culture from Catholic University and an M.F.A. in sculpture from George Washington University. Some of his areas of academic research and teaching are in comparative theology and the arts, Hindu-Christian relations, interfaith dialogue, religion and visual culture, religion and gender, Franciscan spirituality, the life and work of Meher Baba, and the Integral Yoga of the Sri Aurobindo Ashram. His current research includes a chapter on art in Hindu-Christian relations, and a book project The Mother of the Sri Aurobindo Ashram: An Introduction to the Integral Yoga (working title). He is also a professional artist with a studio at the Franciscan Monastery in Washington, D.C. His sculptures are in private and public collections across the USA.
