Chloe Sugden is an independent Australian scholar with a background in art history and esoteric philosophy. Her field of specialization is the aestheticization of occultism from the late eighteenth century to the present. Other interests include contemporary alternative spirituality, Warburgian approaches to historiography, divination in the Middle Ages, and Italian Renaissance art and magic. Chloe holds a Bachelor of Arts with an Extended Major in Art History from the University of Queensland, and First Class Honors in Art History from the University of Melbourne. She also holds a Master of Fine Arts in Critical Curatorial Cybermedia Studies from Geneva University of Art and Design.
