Lila Moore is the founder of The Cybernetic Futures Institute, an educational and practice-based research platform for the exploration of technoetic arts with an emphasis on the spiritual, mystical and occult in film, art, screen-dance and emerging technological forms of performance and narrative. She holds a practice-based Ph.D degree in Dance on Screen (Middlesex University, 2001) and postdoc from the Planetary Collegium of Plymouth University (2015). Dr Moore is a lecturer at the Alef Trust/ Liverpool John Moores University and at the Department of Mysticism and Spirituality, Zefat Academic College. She regularly presents papers in international academic conferences, and exhibits her artworks and films in juried exhibitions such as curated by ACM SIGGRAPH and FEMeeting: Women in Art, Science and Technology.
