Laura Vance is Professor of Sociology and Director of Gender and Women's Studies at Warren Wilson College. Her research focuses on gender and sexuality in new religions, especially in the Seventh-day Adventist Church and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormonism). She has authored a number of articles, book chapters, and books, including Women in New Religions (NYU Press, 2015), part of the Women in Religions series from New York University Press.
