CHRISTIAN GIUDICE

Christian Giudice obtained an BA Honours Degree in Literae Humniores (Classics) from St. Hugh's College, Oxford University (2001) and more recently an MA with distinction in Western Esotericism at Exeter University, with a thesis focusing on Kenneth Grant and post-Crowleyan magic (2011). In 2012 he was elected Student Representative for ESSWE (European Society for the Study of Western Esotericism) for the year 2013.

In 2016 he obtained his PhD with a thesis titled "Occultism and Traditionalism: Arturo Reghini and the Antimodern Reaction in Early Twentieth Century Italy."

His research interests include Traditionalism (Guenon, Schuon, Evola, Coomaraswamy), Thelema and its developments after the death of Aleister Crowley (1875-1947), fin de siecle Occultism in England, France and Italy, and the interplay between Occultism and the visual arts.

He is currently the editor of the ESSWE Newsletter and on the editorial board of journals on Western esotericism Correspondences and La Rosa di Paracelso, and chair of the ESSWE subnetwork WEAVE (Western Esotericism in Art and Visual Culture).
