Celebration Park

Celebration Park is an independently owned and operated thrift store and carwash located in Richmond, Virginia. It was founded by Senior Pastors Victor and Carmen Torres of the New Life Outreach International Church in Richmond. Celebration Park also serves as a vocational training outreach center for men in the Christian rehabilitation program, New Life For Youth, which is a one year drug and alcohol rehabilitation program founded by Victor and Carmen Torres.

The property was purchased by New Life Outreach International in 2004 as a replacement for their smaller thrift store, Mustard Seed. The newer, larger thrift store and carwash opened for business in January, 2005. Celebration Park is under the leadership of Pastor Carlos Rivera, and Joe Wilson, two graduates of the New Life For Youth rehabilitation program. A unique attribute of Celebration Park is that the car wash and thrift store are operated by twenty men in the New Life For Youth program. The work serves as vocational training for New Life For Youth students, preparing them to acquire and perform future jobs successfully. The property also is used for numerous local community activities, such as the annual BBQ Bluegrass Festival and the County Multicultural Fest. A new touchless carwash is currently under construction as Pastors Victor and Carmen Torres. The Torres also have plans to operate on the property in the near future an after-school program, complete with a gymnasium and computer laboratory. Celebration Park is open Monday- Saturday and offers a variety of carwash services. The thrift store area offers an assortment of goods such as household items, cell phone accessories, furniture, DVDs, books, and books.
